National Salvage Supports Angel Tree with Skip the Scale for Charity Program
Without the partnerships of local businesses and organizations, Angel Tree would be unable to reach all of the children and families who need our services each year. With an estimated 4,000 to 4,500 children registered for Angel Tree gift bundles in 2024, the support of local business is more crucial than ever.
Thanks to our friends at National Salvage in Lethbridge, all of the scrap metal donated at their “Skip the Scale” bin during the month of October will be turned into funds and donated to the Lethbridge Family Services Angel Tree Christmas Campaign. These funds will help LFS distribute toys and gift bundles to local children and youth in need during the holiday season.
National Salvage is a trusted, family-owned full-service scrap metal recycling yard and new steel solution in Lethbridge and southern Alberta. They’ve been serving the community with integrity and expertise for over 70 years. “Skip the Scale” is their latest initiative, which raises funds for southern Alberta charities by inviting residents and businesses to donate scrap metal. All proceeds go directly to local charities, making a tangible difference in the community. A different charity is selected each month, with input from followers on social media, who nominate their favourite charities. Lethbridge Family Services was selected for the month of October.
