Operating since 1959, our Certified Health Care Aides provide in-home supports to enable seniors, individuals with physical disabilities, acute, and the chronically ill or terminally ill to remain in their homes for as long as possible. Services include personal care, palliative care, respite care, and specialized services supported by Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Health Care Aides, and administrative personnel.

The recorded distance traveled in 2023 by LFS health care aides was 1.2 million kilometers, and 22,000 hours.
As well as care provided in client homes, we have supported people from every walk of life in a multitude of locations, including clients in hospitals, care facilities, homeless shelters, and even campgrounds.
The ages of clients receiving services range from 40 to 100 years old.

We are proud to be highly accredited by the Council on Accreditation, to ensure we deliver high-quality services and maintain performance and quality improvement standards according to industry best practices. This involves thorough training of staff, including clients in decision-making processes, creating safe and respectful work environments, protecting clients’ privacy, and supporting positive outcomes for clients and staff alike.
