Guest Speaker Bio

Bio: Tim Fox, is a proud member of the Blackfoot Confederacy from the Blood/Kainai Nation, and current Vice President of Indigenous Relations and Equity with Calgary Foundation. Tim’s primary focus is facilitating a systems change approach for reconciliation, decolonization and racial equity. Tim helps to strengthen and enhance the internal culture and practice at Calgary Foundation while incorporating work of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission and Racial Equity both internally and in the broader community.

Tim is the Author of a Blackfoot Children’s Book, “Napii Kii Imitaa”, as part of a language revitalization project. He has worked with Indigenous men at the Calgary Correctional Centre with Strengthening the Spirit, Aboriginal Men’s domestic Violence prevention program. In 2019, Tim was named one of Calgary’s Top 40 under 40, and he is the co-chair for The Circle on Philanthropy.
